Got a screen capture, but can’t do anything with it

Capturing the screen — great, easy.
Annotating it — Meh, OK. Wish there were better options for quickly expressing numbered steps. The preprogrammed icons are kind of arbitrary; how often are you really going to need a cutesy heart icon pointing to something, if you’re not 12 years old? The blur feature is nice, though.
Saving it — couldn’t figure out how to save or export the image once annotated. That’s a deal breaker. If I can’t use the screen capture, what’s the point?
