Evernote just killed Skitch

I used the former version of Skitch (1.x) to make a lot of snapshots, easily (1 click) saved in a LOCAL history folder so I can manipulate them later.
Now, I need a Evernote account, and have them spread over the internet… While commuting to the office, I cannot work, I have no internet access...
Plus, the free version storage capacity is ridiculous, just 60 MB (yeah, not 60 GB, just 60 MB)
Why did you guys got a perfect piece of FREE software, removed some of the most interesting parts, and turned it into a NEED-TO-PAY to make it work?

I am very eagerly looking for a better snapshot tool, any advice?
