Compared to Skitch 1.0, its bad

You remember Skitch when it was just Skitch, not Evernote Skitch Whatever? Yep, it just worked and wasnt that cluttered by sync, storage, other junk features you probably dont use anyway. But for any reason, if any existed, after Evernote bought Skitch, they pushed 2.0 to the app store, and it wasnt even close to 1.0 even in terms of features, it sucked big time. Now its 2.6 and its still worse then the old 1.0. So if you have any decent alternative, you shouldnt use Skitch.

This app has helped me a lot with my school projects and Im really happy that I downloaded it!

Very very usefull

I use this app every day!

Great and useful app

This app really enhances the sshot capability of MacOS. Once integrated with evernote, it really rocks.

Got a screen capture, but can’t do anything with it

Capturing the screen — great, easy. Annotating it — Meh, OK. Wish there were better options for quickly expressing numbered steps. The preprogrammed icons are kind of arbitrary; how often are you really going to need a cutesy heart icon pointing to something, if you’re not 12 years old? The blur feature is nice, though. Saving it — couldn’t figure out how to save or export the image once annotated. That’s a deal breaker. If I can’t use the screen capture, what’s the point?

I love it and use it multiple times a day!!!

Best mark up tool. Easy to use, has most of what I need, and intgrates with Evernote. I love it!

So useful

It’s the easiest annotating software out there. It does what it’s supposed to without gettign in your way.

Huge time saver

Skitch has made a huge improvement in my productivity in turning project drawings around. I’m saving so much time over my previous method, and it is SO EASY TO USE! I learned how to use it in a few minutes and was able to put it to great use immediately. One of the best apps I’ve ever had, and so happy my co-worker recommended it!

Perfect for communicating screen-related topics

I cant imagine a better tool to augment communication via email when working on digital products.

SKITCH - everything that apple Preview isn’t anymore

I used to be a die hard preview user for annotating and marking up my screenshots. Then Apple changed the way that preview annotating worked and it became painful. Skitch filled the void beautifully. It is easy to use, intuitive and a great addition to mytoolbox.

Use this all the time!

Use this all the time. Love it. Evernote inclusion is a nice extra. But skitch works great as a stand alone clipper and resizer.

Can’t edit PDFs without signing into Evernote

Skitch is now useless to me. You can’t edit PDFs at all without signing into Evernote, and that requires a paid account. I’m outta here.

Love it!

This app is a quick and easy way to capture any part of the screen that you need. Quick and easy!

Love it!

This comes in so handy. I have this app on my personal and work phone as well.

Couldn’t uninstall at first

I downloaded the app because I was looking for a snippit like on windows. This app was not what I needed and when i tried to drag it to the trash it wouldn’t let me stating that the app plug-ins were in use. I checked out the website only to find a cumbersome trouble shooting forum and no contacts for technical support other than the prolonged email dialogue. I just wanted to get this app off of my machine. I ended up unpacking the contents and throwing them in the trash individually and once that was done, I was able to delete the icon. I’m now suspicious and wonder if this app is malware.

Fast and Full Featured

I was a big fan of the now discontinued FlySketch but this app has ended up being much more flexible and easier to use. You take a screenshot (options are, select an area, timed capture, full screen, previous snapshot area, your camera) and then add highlights, arrows, text, boxes, etc. I support a lot of remote users and when people have questions I find it saves me a lot of time to show them where to find what they are looking for. In about 10 seconds I can take the snapshot, add a highlight box and copy the now edited image and paste it into an email.

Everything you want in a screen snapping app

I was used to using the snipping tool for windows but my company switched me to a Mac. They had Snag It preloaded for me but it always wanted to stay open on the desktop and bugged me to upgrade. Skitch is very light software, which is a big plus, you want to use it and get on with your day. It does still have a few markup features that you can use before exporting as well though, like being able to circle and point to important parts of your snap as well as blur out sections that you don’t want to share. I have never rated anything from the app store, but a great app for free deserved it.
