Skitch - Snap. Mark up. Share. App Reviews
Skitch is an invaluable tool for me . I often need to take screenshots and annotate for presentations, and it’s the perfect tool for taking what I see and making it appear exactly inside of my presentations. It’s simple to use, and the Evernote integration has turned out to be very useful.
It use to be useful
This app was great before the update… Now it’s time to uninstall it! Thanks Evernote! Now please don’t screw up Evernote like you did Skitch…
Everything about the update has been great… except Evernote integration!! Why do I continuously need to sign into Evernote just to get my screengrabs to save?? I should only have to sign in once! If I didn’t like the rest of the app so much I would ditch Skitch as this is annoying.
I like this app and use it all the time. I don’t often use the Evernote integration, but I use and like Evernote too, so I am not complaining. I would however really appreciate the ability to incorporate more than one screen snap or image into a single Skitch.
Great app for sharing your editing thoughts on any doc, pic, or screen snap. Easy enough to use and simplifies conveying info that would otherwise be complicated to explain. No complaints on its few flaws given that it is still a highly useful freebee.
I like it but...
Apps that popup requests asking for reviews should get bad reviews. They interrupt work flow, and break me out of what I’m doing. Enjoy your 3.
I now have Skitch installed on my desktop as well as my mobile devices. Its great for screen captures and then annotations that describe step-by-step how to do something on the computer. Thanks! Gary
Well done, simple, focussed app. Minor little bug that it exports the wrong file type when sharing by FTP, but not a show stopper. However, I have a policy that any app that breaks my workflow to beg for a review will get one: 1 star. I would pay money for this app, but the review prompt is really lame. I hope developers get the point and stop doing this. What if you were in a restaurant, eating a nice meal, in the middle of a bite… and your waiter or waitress asked you to put a review your experience right there? How would you take that?
I beg for a selector tool!
Please, please! just put a drag and select tool. It’s so painful if I want to move my drawn diagram just to another position.
love it!
Great tool, It’s become the first thing I reach for whenever I want to anotate a picture or screenshot.
Simply awesome
Very simple to use, has great functionnalities and helps me alot when creating quick tutorials. Nice app, very useful.
Want to save a file on your disk? Too bad. This app (v 2.7.2) won’t let you. Very very un-Mac-like. Spend an hour learning and creating and then you can’t save? UN-&%$@-BELIEVEABLE!
The description clearly states that annotation functionality does not require an Evernote account and that only saving to Evernote requires an Evernote account. When I tried to open a PDF, it immediately refused, saying I needed to sign in to Evernote to work with PDFs.
Mainstay of my graphic workflow!
I use skitch to get a quick preview of whatever, whenever, to wherever!
Easy to use - effective at what it does
Love this app. Screen grabs are a breeze and you can share them in anyway you need.
Love this app. Extremely focused and easy to use. Does crash from time to time, often while syncing with Evernote. I love the ability to export skitches in various format. I wish there would be an option to export multiple skitches (Select multiple, click Export…). Keep it up!
This is the fastest, most efficient screen grabber available. The only problem is that it syncs all screenshots with Evernote, and now I’m running out of space in my monthly upload allowance. I just want to use it to take screenshots, put them in the application I need them in, and then have them be deleted as opposed to taking up Evernote space.
For customer service, to better communicating with your team, Skitch is amazing. It helped me use evernote better too. It’s in my top 5 most important tools.
I switched from the Mac Grab utility to Skitch. I found the feature that captures a screenshot as a png file instead of a tiff very useful for my overall workflow.
Exactly what I need
This is a great little app with excellent toolset.
