Skitch - Snap. Mark up. Share. App Reviews

149 Customer Reviews:

Since making the move from using a PC for work to a Mac, I found myself missing my old screen capture applicaiton. There was a Mac version, but it honestly wasn’t ported well. Skitch has filled that gap for me, making it easy for me to capture and annotate screen shots. People at work frequently ask me what app I’m using. Combining it with Evernote is handy, too, in case I capture something and want to refer to it on another device. Sad to hear that Evernote is discontinuing the iOS version, but I honestly haven’t had as much use for Skitch on iOS. It may not be as fully featured as some other applications, but it does everything I need it to.

I love this program, especially when it links to Evernote which I use and I can keep all my snapshots together saved. I snapshot a whole process and then go back and document w/ the images saved. Very very useful and simple to use! Thank you!

I use it to take pics of my web work. I do wish there was a way to just copy to the clipboard rather than going to skitch and having to copy out of there though.

I have used this for work as a developer for a while. Anytime i need to show a client something I can quickly skitch it and send it on its way. Love it. Thanks guys and/or girls who made it!

I love using Skitch to make annotated screenshots. It’s simple to use. The color choices, fonts, and callouts are great for making unique stylish infographics. I really like the shape of the arrows in particular.

So, few app’s get me all excited. This one does, hands-down! Any time I need to do a quick screen capture, Skitch is my go-to too. Save my bacon on a frequent basis!

awesome!

Love this app; use it for so many things. So easy to add text, arrows and highlights to screenshots. Valuable tool for usability prototyping as well.

Loved it until I wanted use it for real for the first. I wanted to annotate an PNG image on my local disk but I could not save it. If I ever would have considered Evernote they lost me now for good.

I love that it works so seemlessly with evernote. I do most of my editing in Evernote but it’s so easy to just capture part of the screen with skitch. so much trouble saved. Well worth it

I normally am not one to make a review for an app, however… This app is amazing. The ease of access is amazing. For my job I am having to take atleast 25-50 screenshots a day and this makes it a whole lot easier than doing Print Screen and then cropping it in preview! A++

This application is just way too buggy. It’s got great features.. syncing with Evernote is a dream, but interacting with the desktop is a struggle: During capture the mouse clicks are still affecting the screen underneath, which can have a negative effect on what you’re trying to capture if it’s a menu item from an web application, etc. And deleting captured items crashes the application.. If you can live without the Evernote Sync I think there are far better options available, like SnagIt...

Timed Screen Snap Broken

Other than the Timed Screen Snap not working at all this app is very good. They need to fix this bug though!

initially, this was my favoirite screen capture app. But I have gone back to the pricier but far more functional SNAG-It by TechSmith. The software has only very limited editing and annotating ability. But the deal breakers for me were the absolutely annoying pop-ups that come up everytime you want to make a new screen capture and ask you whether or not you really, really, really want to cancel the last one. The abilitiy to save captured images is also very limited and awkward. Lastly, the software’s integration with Evernote spyware, and constant advertisements for Evernote were also a turn off. This software had great potential but was ruined by its clumsy attempt to force the user to save files to Evernote, or pay the price with awkward, multi-step requirements to export the file to some other location/format.
